About

As a chapter, SLU Habitat for Humanity works to support the mission of the international organization in any way possible. This includes serving as volunteers to build new homes, fundraising to assist in the cost of new homes, and advocating for legislature that works to eliminate substandard housing. We also strive to educate our members, our university and the greater community about the issue of substandard housing and the mission of Habitat for Humanity in the US and internationally.

As a club, our members have done thousands of hours of service every semester, raised over $5,000 in each of the past two years, spoken with Congressman Lacy Clay and have hosted many successful events on the SLU campus. These annual events include the campus Cardboard City, the "Trick or Treat for Change" campaign, a 5K race and trivia nights, to name a few.
